Pop-up flowers

Hi all, hope you are all enjoying the weekend. Well it has been another busy week here at the Lovell headquarters! Here are some of my crafty makes from this week.

I have wanted to make a 3D pop-up box card for ages now so I have finally had a go at completing one. It is not perfect but not bad for a first try. I shall have another go at one again soon and will post a tutorial on how I constructed it shortly.

This card was constructed from a piece of A4, pink satin card (although looks more red in the pictures!). I then embossed the flap pieces to add some texture. I used a Tattered Lace Tapestry Love die to cut out the heart on the front of the card in purple satin card. I then shadowed from behind using black card and finished the front by attaching a black, satin bow to the top of the heart.

For the inside I then cut out various Tattered Lace pieces and attached them to pieces of acetate which I had cut into strips and suspended in the middle of the card. The finished card is then able to fold flat and can easily be popped in an envelope.

Here is a rose flower I constructed out of card whilst playing around at my desk. I used white card stock and distress inks to create it.

Finally, my niece's birthday is coming up shortly, so here is the card I made her. I used Craftwork Cards stamps by Julie and a Dreamees 'Just for You' stamp. The 'Niece' part was cut out using a Tonic die and I constructed the flower from a Lindsay Mason stamp set and then finished it off with my sparkle pens.

Hope you all have a good week, thanks for reading and bye for now!
